The Peninsula Light Company is restoring power for residents between the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor areas after a mechanical failure shut down an entire power system.
More than 30,000 people were without power Friday morning when, at 9:25 a.m., PenLight posted that their entire system was out of power due to a mechanical failure.
“PenLight dispatch is working to bring up substations slowly and restore power in sections as to not overload the system,” the Peninsula Light Company stated on X.
