Driver drops rocks on Highway 520 in Seattle

The evening commute got off to a rocky start Monday on Highway 520 after a lane became covered with large rocks, blocking traffic.

Traffic was backed up for about 5 miles following the incident while crews cleaned up the bumps in the road along westbound 520. The left lane was blocked for about an hour, started at around 5 p.m.
According to Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson, the driver of the vehicle that dropped the rocks will be cited. He tweeted that drivers need to secure their loads.
