US 2 reopen at Stevens Pass after days of icy conditions

Update 8:55 p.m.:
US Highway 2 reopened Tuesday night, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Traction tires are advised due to compact snow and ice on the roadway.

Remember when US 2/Stevens turned into a nature-made ice rink? It鈥檚 open as of 8 pm, they fixed it & it doesn鈥檛 look like this anymore.

I-90 reopens between North Bend and Ellensburg; US 2 over Stevens Pass to remain closed Sunday
The highway was closed all day Sunday for freezing rain and icy conditions and remained closed through Tuesday evening.
Interstate 90 and US 2 both closed Saturday due to treacherous conditions caused by the freezing rain, as well as . I-90 between North Bend and Ellensburg reopened just after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
