WA family increases reward for missing Austin Leming

The initial reward was $21,000, following the creation of a fundraiser with a goal of $10,000 to increase the reward amount. The previous reward amount was offered directly from the family’s funds. Lemings’ mother, Karen, held a honk-and-wave event Friday to raise awareness for Leming’s disappearance.

“Because of your generous and caring donations, we have reached the $10,000 goal! The reward is now at $31,000!” Karen stated. “As you can imagine, every day that goes by with no credible tip coming in is just very hard, and it takes all of my strength and hope and faith to somehow get through it. We just want to find him and bring him home.”

Leming disappeared on December 8, 2021, from an apartment complex in Kent. Karen said Leming traveled to Kent the day before and disappeared the following day. Authorities suspect that foul play was involved in Leming’s disappearance.

“It has been so heartbreaking to our whole family to have Austin just disappear and then to know that it was at someone else’s hands. The not knowing where he is and if we will ever know is more than we can take,” Karen told FOX 13.

Karen created a memorial in Leming’s honor, which she uses as a place for her and others close to him to visit. Karen planted a tree and added a bench near the memorial site.

“I needed a place to go, I don鈥檛 know where to go to see my son, he could be anywhere, and I just felt like I needed a place to go to pray, to cry, to think,” Karen said.

The family also uses this memorial site for any family gatherings that celebrate Leming.

If you have any information on where to find Austin Leming, submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers through the P3 Tips App that you can , or call (800) 222-8477.
