Washington State Ferries renamed for Mariners during postseason

The Seattle Mariners were named for the city’s maritime heritage, and now the team is receiving an honor worthy of their name, by naming the city’s maritime vessels for the team.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has , temporarily, to honor the M’s as they continue their postseason run.

Washington ferry ridership at highest since start of pandemic

From now through the postseason, all 21 vessels in the fleet have been renamed.

The ferries were renamed after players and team personnel.

鈥淲e are so proud of our Mariners for finally breaking our playoff drought and giving our fans the excitement of postseason baseball!鈥 Inslee said. 鈥淭his honorary name change is a way to show our appreciation and for fans to feel even closer to the team by riding Motor/Vessel Juliooooooooooo, M/V Cal 鈥楤ig Dumper鈥 Raleigh, M/V Mariners 鈥楪ood Vibes Only鈥 and the rest. Go Mariners!鈥

So, for the time being, here’s the list of newly-named ferryboats:
