Woman shot in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood

A woman was robbed and shot on a street in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood on Tuesday.

Witnesses called 911 to report a 58-year-old victim was shot in the at 1:35 p.m.

The woman arrived at Harborview Medical Center around 2 p.m. in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Witnesses told police that the woman was on the street when the suspect robbed and shot her.

Seattle robbery detectives are now investigating.

Hours before, Interim Adrian Diaz said there have been over 100 additional shootings in Seattle compared to the same time last year in 2020.

Chief Diaz said it鈥檚 going to take a major community effort to push back on what he says is the relentless threat of violence. Read more.
