I will bet you that local dude Levi Fuller is hard at work right now. Doing what exactly? I don’t know. But, I’m sure he’s creating something brilliant that you want to know about. Levi Fuller has been a part of the Seattle music scene for some time now, and when he’s not working a full time job, he’s perfoming on stage somewhere either with his band The Luna Moth, Passenger Pigeon or simply, Levi Fuller. He also DJ’s on every other Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m., under the name DJ Sta-Prest and when he’s done with his shift there, Levi heads on over to which he founded in 2005 and today works as editor in chief. Whew! Take a breath dude.
Here’s a bit about Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly from the website…
…The hope was that this series of compilation CDs and the release events associated with each would be a way to build community among musicians, whether local to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest or from across the United States and the world, while hopefully bringing their music to an audience that might not otherwise have stumbled upon it…Every three months a new volume is released, featuring new music from Seattle and beyond, much of which is unreleased elsewhere. Each volume芒鈧劉s release is celebrated with a public performance, where the CD is available for free with the price of admission; following that, each volume is made available for purchase at a ridiculously cheap price.
I was able to make the latest release event for Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly Vol. 24 which took place at The Sunset Tavern and it was awesome. Make sure to go to purchase the latest Ball of Wax for a ridiculously low price and to submit your tunes for a future compilation.
