Big Daddy on Ellen + benefit show at Nectar

Sean Porter aka Big Daddy has been involved with the Seattle music scene going on 6 years and in that time he’s traveled the world with both Seattle, and non Seattle based bands alike including: Kris Allen from American Idol, Cage the Elephant, Streetlight Manifesto, This Providence, The Classic Crime, Mat Kearney and the list goes on.
Well, these days Sean has a plan in effect that to some might sound far fetched but this dude is determined to make his dream come to fruition. Sean is on a quest to become a guest on the Ellen Show to help raise awareness of the need for music education in schools. I spoke with Sean recently to find out about how his mission is progressing and the Big Daddy on Ellen benefit show that he’s been organizing which will be happening this Friday, December 30th at Nectar in Fremont. I asked Sean what it is exactly about Ellen that made him want to hopefully be offered a seat on the show and he said, “She’s just awesome ya know…I just love how she can help people no matter what and that’s her main thing with her show, just being able to help people and she’s just so selfless…”
Check our chat below to learn more about what Sean’s got going on and whether or not he’s actually heard back from Ellen and make sure to to get all the details about Big Daddy on Ellen.
All proceeds from the Big Daddy on Ellen Show will be donated to the which is a great organization that helps bring music programs to underdeveloped areas.
