Local dudes are going to be hanging at the Tractor Tavern this Saturday night just itchin’ to entertain the crap outta ya with their Country & Western tunes. These guys have been gaining a lot of momentum over the past few years and nothing seems to be holding them back. I mean, who would even want to attempt to hold these dudes back. They are badasses who write badass music while drinking 500 year old whiskey. Yes, the whiskey burns the throat but that then just gives them another topic to write about. I’m sure the song would be called ‘Whiskey Burn (It feels good)’ and become a chart topper soon after the release. B.A.R. have completed several North American and European tours, have made appearances at music festivals around the world including Popkomm Festival in Berlin, the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, SXSW in Austin, Bumbershoot in Seattle and have three LP’s, a handful of singles and even some remixes and killer music videos to their name.
Local label Spark & Shine are the folks behind putting this show together for you all, so go check it out already! You should also to listen to a couple of brand new tracks from Brent Amaker & The Rodeo. B.A.R. is gearing up for their return to Europe, where they will be hitting Berlin Music Week, as well as locales in Denmark, Sweden, and Poland. Their new album is slated for 2012 so keep an eye out.
