I have again made one of the best mixes ever in mixtape history. Not only is there an amazing song about the movie The Human Centipede that I will play for you and a really great project called Jaydiohead, I got the chance to If you’re a fan of Portishead, Cat Power, Regina Spektor or any kind of trip hop you must listen to Dutch because you will fall instantly in love. I’ve also isolated the interview below if you don’t want to listen to my full on podcast.
is a new collaboration between two very talented people who make beautiful music together. Not that kind of beautiful music! Get your mind out of the gutter perv. Respect. Ok, moving on. Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind (best. moniker. ever.) is the producer and DJ for hip hop group , they’ve been around since 1997, and they have a massive, massive following. Liz Fullerton has been a vocalist/songwriter for some time now and is planning on releasing her own solo record in the very near future. These two happened to meet through a mutual friend and when asked to add some vocals to some Jedi Mind Tricks tracks she jumped at the chance. It just so happened that Stoupe was also working on a solo record which was a departure in sound from his hardcore hip hop music making and asked Liz if she was interested in helping out. The rest is history.
Their debut record, ‘A Bright Cold Day’ was released June 8th on and I suggest you seek it out. As of right now they have a few east coast gigs lined up and I’m really hoping they make it over here to the Seattle area so we can all Dutch it up with them. Listen to my interview with Liz below…
