I’ve just found out about this band called Rubik who make some really catchy indie/pop/rock that you will love from first listen. The guys are coming out of Helsinki, Finland and have recently embarked on their first full U.S. tour and couldn’t be more excited. Dada Bandits which was released back in 2009 is the newest album from Rubik and if you haven’t heard it you should stop what you’re doing right now and check it out! It just so happens that you can go to Rubik’s and download a free 8 track EP. You won’t regret it. ‘Goji Berries’, the opening track of Dada Bandits grabs you with schizophrenic percussion and slightly over modulated vocals and then promptly sweeps you away with singer Artturi Taira’s slick, emotive voice layered on top of a simple piano and horn progression.
