I’ve been making mixtapes (yes, the actual cassette kind and not this cd bullsh*t) since the day I discovered cassettes and music. In high school I made stacks of mixes taped direct from the radio waves and throughout college and into my proper adult life mixtapes were and still are a huge part of my life. So it’s only fitting that Jason Bitner, the creator and editor of wanted to stop by and chat about all things mixtapes. The book is awesome! It’s a collection of personal stories about mixtapes received and the love and loss that surrounds them.
