New Music: Memory Tapes

The last time I chatted with you about Dayve Hawk aka Memory Tapes and my love for all that he creates, I had a bitter taste in my mouth as his Seek Magic LP I had ordered from Acephale Records showed up on my doorstep completely busted. If you want to read my amazing tale of the event and listen to some new-ish tunes from Memory Tapes, you should go here. This coming July Memory Tapes is releasing his sophomore LP Player Piano, and along with this completely awesome news he has also given us a brand new song from said album called ‘Wait in the Dark’. Yahoo! I cannot wait for this thing. If it’s anything like Seek Magic then we should expect nothing short of brilliance. Check the track below and download it .

Also, you should to download Ghosting Notes, a 44-minute long mixtape Memory Tapes put together which features some unreleased tracks from Player Piano. Yes!

Below is the first song I ever heard from Memory Tapes and it’s the one that got me hooked for life. If you’re not already hooked, just listen to ‘Swimming Field’ and you just may be.
