New Music: Spankrock – ‘Energy’

After 5 years Naeem Juwan aka Spankrock is finally releasing a follow up to his super hot 2006 debut YoYoYoYoYo, it’s called Everything is Boring and Everyone is a F*cking Liar and it’s due very, very soon. Spankrock has been keeping busy over the years however what with releasing a 5 song EP with Benny Blanco called Benny Blanco & Spank Rock Present: Bangers and Cash which is an homage to the glory days of 2 Live Crew when they were running this town and he’s also appeared on songs from Mark Ronson, Amanda Blank, N.A.S.A. and Santigold among others. This dude is hot. The new single is called ‘Energy’ and it’s produced by Boys Noize who is an amazing producer/DJ in his own right. By the way, did I ever tell you about the time I got the chance to interview Boys Noize? No? Oh, well if you’re interested you can listen to the chat below. No bigs.

Back to Spankrock. You can download ‘Energy’ for the price of an e-mail. I did. I am now very happy. Oh, Spankrock also has another project he’s been working on with HOFF and Blu Jemz called Mobroder. It’s awesome and you can download the full album .
