I’ve been following the career of Teenage Badgirl aka Guillaume Manbell and Greg Kazubski ever since I first laid my ears upon their gut busting debut record Cocotte. Since 2007 and the release of Cocotte the guys have been really busy putting out remixes and EP’s with their most recent LP being Backwash which is chock full of electro jams that you need to hear. Check the above link to listen to Backwash in full. Oh, and the video for X Girl feat. Rye Rye is too shabby either…

Much like my reaction to having first listened to Teenage Badgirl’s debut record, when I first heard ‘s debut Attack Decay Sustain Release, I couldn’t help but become a fan for life. The duo have three full length albums to their name and a slew of remixes that you should check out. The most recent LP is Delicacies which has every track on the record taking the name “…of an exotic, and often bizarre, delicacy from around the world.芒鈧 Take a listen to and a look at ‘Hustler’ from ADSR which I’m sure will give you proper aural pleasure…

I first heard of Eric Prydz while I was living in England. I remember my social worker girlfriend at the time saying that the video for the song ‘Call On Me’ (which samples Steve Winwood) was on during one of her visits to a home and that several little kids were completely transfixed on the telly watching it and that it was completely inappropriate. She was totally right, by the way. Prydz has been on the scene for sometime now and has yet to release a proper full length but does have plans (hopefully) to release his debut in 2011. Go to check his latest tune called ‘Niton (The Reason)’ and check the video for ‘Call On Me’ below…

‘Panjoo’, another amazing tune from Eric Prydz…

New Music: Onuinu – ‘Happy Home’

Dorian Duvall is Onuinu, (on-you-in-you) an electro-pop music maker coming to us from Portland, OR whose pseudonym is one that I’m sure will confuse the masses with it’s exact pronunciation for years to come. It’s a good thing that the music coming form this dude is something worth paying attention to or else it would […]

Sasquatch! Music Fest 2012 is completely sold out. It’s really too bad that you missed out on buying tickets to see Jack White, Beck, St. Vincent, Silversun Pickups, Childish Gambino, Little Dragon, SBTRKT, Feed Me (with Teeth!) and The Physics perform alongside 10 handfuls of so many other really great bands. What a shame. Well, […]
