Yppah @ Chop Suey + new music ‘Blue Schwinn’, ‘Film Burn’
Mar 22, 2012, 5:49 PM
It’s been quite chilly in Seattle as of late, so if you’ve been bundling up, shielding yourselves from the exceptionally cool days and nights and pining for some heat, I have an answer. The answer, my friends, is (pronounced Yippah) who is Joe Corrales Jr.. Yppah is playing the Chop Suey tonight and I’m positive that once you hear his breathtakingly beautiful beats and feel the warm wash over you, Seattle won’t feel quite as chilly anymore.
Yppah has released several albums over the years with his latest, Eighty One set for release this coming April 2, 2012. Eighty One features several guest appearances by Seattle artist Anomie Belle who Corrales met when the two artists performed together on tour with Bonobo. The album is sunny and warm and inviting with album opener, ‘Blue Schwinn’ setting the pace and feel for the entire record which will have your seratonin level at its absolute peak.
