Jenny Durkan went from being featured in a Rainier Beer commercial to the cover of Time magazine.

Seattle women鈥檚 march won鈥檛 be silent

Durkan is featured alongside dozens of other women on the latest edition of Time — directly under the “E.”

The is “The Avengers: First they Marched. Now They’re Running.”

The magazine cover features portraits of a first-time female candidate who say they were inspired to run for office last year.

Durkan, an Issaquah native and University of Washington Law School graduate, served as the local U.S. Attorney under President Obama from 2009 to 2014. The appointment made Durkan the first openly gay U.S. Attorney in the nation鈥檚 history. She was elected as .
