I wanted to share an extended Daily Dose of Kindness on the radio today because our network, CBS, has a series called where they share stories that show what unites us as Americans is far greater than what divides us.
In today’s story, reporter Don Dahler shares how a T-shirt, a trip to Disney World, and a viral social media post brought two fathers together for a life-saving operation.
It’s worth a watch if you have three minutes.
SPOILER ALERT: It has to do with a living kidney donation. I’m sharing that here now because I’ve covered stories of living kidney donations before and have found that most people aren’t aware that you can go on to live a normal, healthy life with one kidney.
I know three people who’ve given one of their kidneys to strangers and are walking around today like nothing happened.
If you have a Daily Dose of Kindness to share with Colleen, email her at cobrien@kiroradio.com.
You can hear Colleen O鈥橞rien鈥檚 鈥淒aily Dose of Kindness鈥 segment every morning at 7:30 a.m. on 成人X站 Radio 97.3 FM.
