(TVW)

We all were wondering what Governor Inslee’s Wednesday press conference would be about. Was he going to restart home construction, elective surgeries, golf, and fishing in our state?

No. He called the press conference to throw a temper tantrum over two sheriffs in our state — Snohomish County’s Adam Fortney and Franklin County’s J.D. Raymond — who said they would not enforce the governor’s stay-at-home law because they think the law is unconstitutional.

I will have a complete recap of Inslee’s bizarre presser on Thursday’s show. But here’s a little preview:

“Every decision I have made is designed to protect the health of Washingtonians”

Probably not true. There are many private sector businesses that have been shut down while their government equivalents — like landscapers — were still out working in public. If it was only about public health, private and government workers would have been treated the exact same way.

He said if the sheriffs won’t enforce the law, he has the State Patrol, the National Guard, and the Attorney General who will.

Does anyone believe our AG would enforce the law evenly? Bob Ferguson lets Sound Transit get away with their illegal taxation of citizens. He tortured the law so the illegal I-405 tolls could continue. He’s also let the City of Seattle pursue an unconstitutional income tax without challenge. Our AG is an attack dog against those who disagree with him on issues, and offers a protection racket for his Democratic friends.

“We cannot have individual law enforcement officers arbitrarily decide which laws they are going to enforce”

Really? King County prosecutor Dan Satterberg has decided not to enforce drug laws, making our region a magnet for heroin addicts across the nation. Inslee, Dow Constantine, Jenny Durkan have all decided not to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. They all are pursuing an unconstitutional income tax. How can he blame the sheriffs for doing what he and his cohorts have done for years?

Why can Boeing reopen when so many businesses must remain closed. “We still have an aerospace industry. We decided not to eliminate the aerospace industry”

I’m not making these quotes up. And now we’re getting into really scary stuff. So, Jay Inslee sees his role in deciding what industries he will save and which ones he “will eliminate?” This truly is government at its most frightening.

On banning in-person church services: “We specifically, in our order, made sure that gatherings of any type — including religious gatherings — could continue to gather electronically”聽

Did it actually cross his mind that he could ban us from “gathering electronically?” That he could have prohibited us from watching a sermon or church service online?

I’ve only scratched the surface of breaking down this bizarre press conference. I will play you all the audio quotes and provide the full and complete take down — I mean breakdown — on The Big Show Thursday.
