According to a new article in , we can no longer say, “Hey guys!” in the workplace anymore.
Apparently, “Hey guys!” can lead to “misgendering” a co-worker who identifies as non-binary.
I personally use the phrase, “Hey guys!” in the workplace every day because I can never remember anyone’s name. I don’t know how “guys” is a gender. That’s nonsense.
The good news is, “Hey everyone!” is acceptable in the workplace. And even if you use “he/she” pronouns, you can still show your gender-queer activism by advocating for a gender-neutral bathroom on every floor.
I think I’ll push ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ to get gender-neutral bathrooms on every floor of the building. I’m going to be a gender-queer activist for my last several years in radio.
