Our governor, Jay Inslee, did an this weekend in anticipation, not only of the new Legislative session, but also of his 2020 presidential run.
One of the questions the Seattle Times asked him was why the Democrats would nominate him instead of any of the other front-runners — but not for the usual reasons you would expect someone to ask that question.
[All but one of our presidents have been white males.] In a time of growing awareness about opening up the hallways of power to people who haven’t traditionally occupied them, why should the Democratic Party nominate another white male for president?
What an obsession race is on the left. Inslee was asked a similar question by MSNBC last week. The liberal media doesn’t understand that maybe everyone should be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin. In that question, they’re suggesting that Democrats shouldn’t nominate Jay Inslee because he’s a white guy.

I can give you a list of a thousand reasons why the Democrats shouldn’t nominate Jay Inslee for president, but his skin color isn’t one of them, just like I would never, ever say that a black person’s skin color should prevent them from running. There are lots of reasons to oppose Jay Inslee, but not his skin color. That is not how I judge anybody.
