It’s always interesting to see how local politicians will make very biased comments from their official social media accounts. In this case, I’m talking about King County Councilmember Joe McDermott.
A local political activist sent out a last week with a poll asking if she should tip her Uber driver after he was “blasting Dori Monson?” She noted that she asked him to change the station, but he only turned down the volume.
Seventy percent of the 20 respondents — 14 people — voted against tipping the Uber driver.
This is what I found odd. The first person to reply to the poll was the official Twitter account of King County Councilmember Joe McDermott, who represents West Seattle, Burien, and Vashon and Maury Islands.

You can’t see how he voted in the poll, but we can assume he voted against tipping the Dori fan. His suggestion in his comment was that she switch to a different rideshare company.
It’s interesting how the liberal politicians around here don’t want to hear any dissenting voices — even for a few minutes in a car.
We have offered Joe McDermott an invitation to come on the show a couple of times, but he has refused. So he won’t come on the show to talk to me, but he will respond to Twitter polls about me. That sounds like a good use of his time.
To all Uber and Lyft drivers who listen to our show while working, bless you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
