Expedia to feature more rent-by-owner properties

Bellevue-based travel site Expedia has expanded its relationship with HomeAway, Inc., adding more than 115,000 vacation rental listings on the U.S. version of Expedia.com.

“The demand for vacation rentals in today’s travel market is clear and we think it complements our existing business,” said Laurens Leurink, president of lodging for Expedia, Inc.

Vacation rental property managers and owners using HomeAway’s pay-per-booking listing model may now also choose to advertise their properties on Expedia.com for no additional charge.

HomeAway, based in Austin, is the parent company of VRBO and other rent-by-owner websites.
