According to documents from the city, preliminary work on a retail building is underway.
Plans call for a single-story building with a “partial basement” for the back of house. According to U-Village marketing director Leanne Strohmeier, the building will be approximately 12,000 square feet.
However, exactly what will occupy that building has not been disclosed.
“We haven’t announced this new tenant, but we are in the early stages of constructing a small retail building…” Strohmeier wrote.
A request for more information from the primary applicant developing has not been returned.
Documents show the primary space in the building will be a “sales area.”
The value of the property is $5.2 million.
