Seattle police arrest man, woman in connection with Capitol Hill stabbing

Seattle officers arrested a man and a woman Thursday morning after a stabbing in Capitol Hill.
The stabbing occurred near 10th Avenue and East Pike Street, according to the Seattle Police Department, .
Officers were sent to the scene just after 12 a.m. and found an adult man who was stabbed in his stomach, arm, and back. They provided aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Witnesses reported an argument between several men, in which a woman stabbed the man, according to SPD.

The woman then fled the scene with a different man. Police apprehended both suspects after a brief foot chase.
Before they ran off, the woman reportedly threw the knife into nearby bushes. Officers were able to recover the weapons.
Detectives with the Homicide and Assault Unit are leading the investigation.
Police subsequently booked the woman into the King County Jail on investigation of assault. The man will be booked on additional charges, SPD stated.
Both suspects are expected to have a court hearing Thursday afternoon.
