Stolen excavator used to smash ATMs at Clackamas U.S. Bank

An excavator stolen from a nearby construction site was used to damage two ATMs and the outside of a U.S. Bank in Clackamas, Oregon on Monday.
The detectives have asked for the public’s help as they continue to investigate the scene and search for suspects.
Stolen excavator used in U.S. Bank robbery
At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Monday, CCSO responded to a burglary at the U.S. Bank located at 11521 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas.
As CCSO deputies arrived on the scene, they found an abandoned excavator still running near the ATM drive-thru. The suspect or suspects used the excavator to destroy two of the ATMs, causing significant damage to the U.S. Bank building.
The CCSO mentioned that the excavator was stolen from a nearby construction site and had been driven to the U.S. Bank.
Additionally, CCSO noted that an SUV parked nearby had its window smashed and broken into.
Deputies, detectives, and crime scene investigators are actively investigating and processing the crime scene.
The release stated that updates will be published when they become available, and detectives are currently asking for any information that will lead to the identification of suspect(s) in the case.
