Man drowns in Duwamish River; body recovered following search

Rescue crews pulled a man’s body from the Duwamish River Thursday, according to the .
Witnesses say the man drowned late Wednesday night near the 11500 block of E. Marginal Way S. near Duwamish Park.

Body recovered after an overnight search in the Duwamish River
The man was yelling for help before disappearing at approximately 10 p.m., reports say. Rescue crews from multiple local agencies searched the area, but couldn鈥檛 find any victims at the time.聽
On Thursday, a King County Sheriff鈥檚 Office search team found what they believe to be the man鈥檚 body in the river.
Officers turned the remains over to the King County Medical Examiner鈥檚 Office for identification and further investigation.聽
