A police chase led to a car plunging off the Edmonds ferry dock, killing at least two of the five occupants.
Washington State Patrol (WSP) and the Snohomish County Sheriff鈥檚 Office told 成人X站 7 that deputies were chasing the car when it drove onto the ferry terminal and off the dock into the water. The police chase started after 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The vehicle was traveling at 79 mph in a 60 mph zone along I-5, causing police to initiate a pursuit.
“The ferry showed up, but they wouldn’t let it land, and so it was just kind of floating around out here a little bit aimlessly,” a witness, Steve Dondero, told . “It was doing little circles, and then eventually came back, and it was shining its tracking light on the water, I think, presumably trying to help them find people or whatever.”
Two people have been confirmed dead, while four others were taken to Harborview Medical Center. Their conditions are currently unknown, as of this reporting. Their ages ranged from 29 to 48 years old.
The ferry route was out of service for approximately 3.5 hours as law enforcement investigated the incident.
WSP originally reported six occupants in the car; however, it later released an update that there were five occupants.
