Man shot during lowrider car show in Seattle’s SODO District

Gunfire at a lowrider car show in Seattle resulted in a man getting shot in the leg.
Police responded Saturday night, around 10:00 p.m., to the car show being held in the SODO District of south Seattle.
This was going on at 4th Ave. S. just a couple of blocks north of South Lander St.
Police were not able to determine who fired the gun or where the suspect went.
The shooting took place as drivers were displaying their lowrider vehicles, customized cars with lowered chassis.
Officers say the man shot suffered a gunshot wound to the upper thigh.
They provided first aid to the victim before medics arrived at the scene.
In a statement released by Seattle Police, a sergeant reported officers at the scene 鈥渄id an outstanding job stopping the bleeding.鈥
Once fire crews arrived, medics continued giving the man medical treatment.
A Seattle Fire Department crew transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
He is reported to be in serious, but stable, condition.
Meantime, police investigators at the shooting scene searched for evidence, but did not find any shell casings or other clues.
They say so far, they have not obtained any information about who fired the gun or the motive for the shooting.
Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses to learn more about the circumstances that led to the gunfire.
