Suspect arrested after home invasion, shooting in Lynnwood

The Snohomish County Sheriff鈥檚 Office arrested a suspect after he allegedly forced his way into a home, exchanged gunfire, and fled the scene.
Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff鈥檚 Office were called to the 900 block of 210th Pl SW in Lynnwood just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of an assault with a weapon.
The victim, a 43-year-old woman from Lynnwood, was injured in the shooting and was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
The suspect, 48, was found in Shoreline and taken into custody. The suspect also sustained injuries during the shooting and needed to be transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Once released from the hospital, he is expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail for first-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
