Broad-daylight shooting injures 1 in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District

A shooting occurred in broad daylight in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Monday afternoon.
The shooting happened near the intersection of 12th Avenue S. and S. Jackson Street, a spot notorious for drugs and violent crime, at approximately 5 p.m. Monday. The shooting injured one person, who was taken to Harborview Medical Center by first responders.
He is currently in critical condition.
Officers searched the area, but weren’t able to find the shooter. There have been no arrests, as of this reporting. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit is now leading the investigation into the shooting.
