Standoff suspect killed in Bremerton was wanted for murder

Several law enforcement agencies were in a standoff with a homicide suspect inside a home in East Bremerton Friday, the confirmed.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies, the FBI and Kitsap County patrol deputies attempted to arrest the suspect around 3 a.m. Friday at the 3000 block of Forest Drive.
Shots were fired 40 minutes later. Additional shots were fired at about 8:15 a.m.
“Our SWAT team got out here with their armored vehicles, and shortly after they went on the scene and tried to contact the suspect through the PA system, the suspect started shooting at them,” Sargent Darren Moss with the Pierce County Sheriff Office said.

Reporters here in Bremerton just heard gunshots after interviewing a spokesperson with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
We’re learning the stand-off with a homicide suspect is still going on near Forest Drive, and neighbors have been evacuated.

Sylvan Way was closed between Olympus Drive and Perry Avenue while authorities investigated.
Several local schools took precautions until law enforcement confirmed the standoff had ended. Mountain View Middle School went into a modified lockdown, and View Ridge Elementary Arts Academy delayed opening.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the suspect was shot and killed by at least one of the law enforcement officers on the scene around 11:20 a.m. Friday.
The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office said the man who was killed in a shootout with police was wanted for the murder of a 41-year-old man at a Parkland apartment.
Both the suspect, 49-year-old Shaun Luzama, and an unnamed 47-year-old woman were shot in the standoff. Luzama was killed at the scene, while the woman was taken to the hospital and later died of her injuries.
Luzama was suspected of killing 41-year-old Michael LeFeau on Aug. 5.
The reported Luzama was charged in late September with two counts of second-degree murder and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
