Squad grandmother and Seattle Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a congresswoman who has built a career on divisive rhetoric and a flagrant disregard for the truth, has once again descended into the depths of absurdity. Her , that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are “acting like a terrorist force,” is not just a lie; it’s a calculated and dangerous assault on the rule of law.
鈥淚CE is acting like a terrorist force. I never thought I鈥檇 see a day where people were being kidnapped and disappeared by masked men,鈥 she said.
ICE agents are not terrorists, and no one is being “disappeared.” They are federal law enforcement officers who swear an oath to protect this country. They are the brave men and women who stand on the front lines, working to stem the tide of illegal immigration, human trafficking, and the flow of deadly narcotics into our communities that Jayapal and other open-border Democrats invited into our country. To compare them to terrorists is not only a grotesque insult to their service and sacrifice, but it is also a slap in the face to every victim of actual terrorism.
The irony, of course, is that Jayapal has been a chief ,听补肠迟耻补濒听terrorists. Someone should tell Jayapal that ICE is targeting illegal immigrants from Israel. She鈥檇 be rocking an ICE hat and volunteering for ride-alongs by the end of the day.
Unserious Pramila Jayapal too busy attacking ICE to do her job
Jayapal’s comments, made during a recent visit to Spokane, are the latest in her political demagoguery.
An unserious lawmaker with no meaningful legislative accomplishments to her name, Jayapal knows that her radical base thrives on this kind of inflammatory language. She knows that by painting ICE agents as villains, she can score cheap political points and further her own extremist agenda. But what she either doesn’t know, or simply doesn’t care about, is the real-world consequences of her words.
When a member of Congress labels federal law enforcement officers as terrorists, it has a dangerous effect. It gives a green light to the radical fringe in her base to harass, intimidate, and even assault those who wear the uniform. It creates an environment where law enforcement officers are forced to look over their shoulders, not just for the criminals they are pursuing, but for the very citizens they are sworn to protect. And Jayapal knows what her rhetoric is capable of.
After telling radicals to 鈥渢ake to the streets鈥 to 鈥渇ight tooth and nail鈥 to uphold a woman鈥檚 access to abortion, Nicholas Roske was arrested for allegedly planning to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The men and women of ICE are dealing with dangerous cartels, human smugglers, and convicted felons. They are on the front lines of the fentanyl crisis, a scourge that is devastating communities across Washington state. For Jayapal to undermine their work, to paint them as the enemy, is not just irresponsible; it is a dereliction of her duty as an elected official. But she revels in this, sending a dozen or more emails a week trying to fundraise off of her lies.
Seattle deserves better than Pramila Jayapal
The truth is that Pramila Jayapal has a long and sordid history of making false and inflammatory statements. This is the same congresswoman who has repeatedly called for the abolishment of ICE, an agency that is essential to our national security. This is the same congresswoman who has consistently voted against measures to secure our border and enforce our immigration laws. She supports open borders.
Her record speaks for itself. She is not interested in finding solutions. She is not interested in having a serious and honest debate about immigration. She is interested in one thing and one thing only: advancing her own radical, anti-American agenda.
The people of Washington’s 7th congressional district deserve better, of course, but they won’t get it. She knows she’s a lock for re-election, so she spends her days emotionally abusing her staff and posting bumper sticker talking points on X that sound like they were written by an Evergreen College dropout. Jayapal knows she’s endangering the lives of law enforcement by spreading lies and inciting hatred.
