‘Suspicious’ 2-alarm fire ‘heavily damages’ Lynnwood transitional housing complex

A fire at Trinity Place Apartments on 46th Ave W in Lynnwood displaced 14 residents in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to a spokesperson with South Snohomish County Fire.

The fire affected eight units, two of which were “heavily damaged.” A total of 11 adults and three children were displaced from the damaged units.
While the source of the fire is still under investigation, it began in the carport of the apartment complex before spreading to the units. A vehicle in the carport sustained significant damage.
Lynnwood police tell Xվ Newsradio the Lynnwood Apartment fire is “suspicious” because it started in the carport.
Reported at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday, the fire ultimately summoned crews from two South Snohomish County Fire stations.
