Cantrell was last seen on Aug. 25 while leaving her family’s home. Relatives reported her missing two days later after learning she may have missed her first ultrasound appointment. They said her disappearance was out of character.
A day later, Cantrell’s white Mazda 3 sedan was found near the Tacoma Dome.
At the time of her disappearance, Kassanndra Cantrell was in the early stages of her first pregnancy. Our detectives worked non-stop for the past 4 weeks to locate her & to identify the suspect responsible for her disappearance.

The sheriff’s office said it has surveillance video showing a person of interest walking from Cantrell’s abandoned Mazda to a nearby parking garage and then leaving in a truck. Detectives were able to use the license plate to identify the owner as Cantrell’s ex-boyfriend. He was also identified in the video.
