Tons of drivers didn’t ‘get the memo’ on I-90 closures

Traffic on I-90 quickly backed up Thursday morning after the state closed the bridge over Lake Washington for the Blue Angels practice.
This is what I-90 near North Mercer Way looked like less than an hour after the closure.
Not everyone got the memo about today's closure (until noon then 1:15-2:40). Be kind and tell a friend.

The Washington State Department of Transportation shut down I-90 at approximately 9:45 a.m. to noon and again from 1:15 to 2:40 p.m.

Thursday’s practices will impact drivers the most, ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio’s Chris Sullivan says. Just as congestion begins to improve from the first closure, WSDOT closes the road down again.
“We never fully recover,” he said.
The Blue Angels will practice again Friday, but only once (1:15-2:40 p.m.)
Gooood morning, Seattle!! are out on the line already, turning jets for practice!
