The parents of an infant being treated for a mold infection believe she got at Seattle Children’s Hospital while undergoing two heart surgeries at Children’s late last year.
On Wednesday her parents are working to join the lawsuit over mold in operating rooms underway against the hospital.
The family attorneys say the baby is infected with Aspergillus mold and she got it during the time Children’s was having temporary operating room closures because of the mold.
New emails show Seattle Children鈥檚 knew about mold problem for year and a half
Katha and Micah Hutt are conflicted, because their daughter’s care has been excellent, but they believe the building maintenance was lax.
“I don’t want people to feel like they can’t trust the hospital, but we trusted them and this happened,” Micah Hutt told 成人X站 Radio. “It’s a week to week thing whether the numbers went down or went up, but she definitely still has it.”
Five families are already part of the lawsuit.
