Seattle police officers closed down East Marginal Way S. Thursday night after a fatal crash occurred.

A driver, 30, was allegedly speeding when he crashed into a pole just before 8 p.m. Thursday, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

“For unknown reasons, the man lost control of his vehicle, hit a light pole on the west side of the street that threw the car about 40 feet and onto the train tracks,” SPD Detective Eric Munoz told 成人X站 7. “We found the man in the passenger seat.”

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours as SPD investigated the crash, reopening East Marginal Way by approximately 11 p.m.

A Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) arrived at the scene, and is launching an investigation into the collision.
