Fifteen confirmed cases of E. coli across multiple counties are linked to yogurt sold in Washington state.

The outbreak began as a Public Health — Seattle & King County investigation involving several children with E. coli. The state health department says in nine of the 15 cases so far, people needed to be hospitalized.

The alert about PCC Community Market brand Pure Eire yogurt went out earlier this month and suspect batches . If you have it at home, do not eat it and throw it away.

E. coli infections can cause serious complications. Symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps, and blood in the stool. If you notice symptoms, contact your health care provider.
