As of July 26, city data has shown that none of the residents have accepted any of the shelter offers.

Signs were posted warning of the removal, with “no parking” signs placed up and around the site and Seattle Department of Transit reaching out to occupants to notify about the sweep.

For its shelters, the city partners with the on homelessness outreach and referrals to shelters, as well as many other non-profit outreach providers.

Speaking to a representative from the city about why the RV camp was removed, it was explained when the city does these removals regularly, a series of factors are considered, including local crime, total shots fired, fires, and other safety data to “ensure a comprehensive review and objective prioritization criteria.”

Any personal items removed from the site are stored per city policy. People can retrieve their items by calling the city, and a pickup or delivery will be arranged.
