A portion of Sodo is shut down as Seattle homicide detectives investigate a shooting that left one man dead after being shot multiple times.

A witness called 911 just after 4 a.m. on Friday to report gunfire at 4th Avenue South and South Royal Brougham Way, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Officers found a man in his 40s lying on the ground with multiple wounds.

All lanes of 4th Avenue South reopened by 8 a.m., after detectives completed their investigation.
