Similar to the Seattle Sounders, the Seattle Mariners will now offer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible fans attending home games starting this week.

Spectator events, religious organizations can increase capacity with vaccinated sections

Thanks to a partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and the City of Seattle, the Mariners will start offering vaccines on Tuesday, May 4, when the Baltimore Orioles come to town.

Vaccinations will be administered by Seattle Fire Department personnel. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health will provide staff and volunteers to support the process.

Fans who have not yet been vaccinated and are choosing to get their shot at the game will have the choice between the single-dose Johnson & Johnson or the first dose of the Moderna vaccine. Those who will be receiving their first dose will be able to schedule their second dose at one of Seattle’s three community vaccination sites at the Lumen Field Event Center, Rainier Beach, or West Seattle.

鈥淭he City of Seattle is proud to partner with our Seattle Mariners to offer in-game vaccinations to fans. As we begin the final stretch of our vaccination effort, we鈥檒l keep bringing the COVID-19 vaccine directly to our eligible communities, and Tuesday鈥檚 game is no exception,鈥 said Seattle Mayor Jenny A. Durkan. 鈥淲e鈥檒l see our Mariners fans at the ballpark this Tuesday for a vaccination and a win. Go Mariners!鈥

Vaccinations at T-Mobile Park are free of charge and no appointment is necessary. The doses will be available beginning when gates open to fans two hours before first pitch, at three locations in the ballpark: Edgar’s Home Run Porch, near Section 105, and at the Rooftop Boardwalk on the View Level.

鈥淕etting vaccinated is the most important thing we can all do to protect ourselves, our families and our community. By partnering with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and the City of Seattle to offer vaccinations at our games, we can help our community move closer to ending the COVID-19 pandemic,鈥 said John Stanton, Seattle Mariners Chairman and Managing Partner.

Only those who are 18 or older and have not already received their first dose are eligible.

What to expect at T-Mobile Park for the start of the 2021 Mariners season

Seattle Fire Department staff聽聽at Sunday鈥檚 Sounders FC match at Lumen Field.

For those who can’t receive a vaccine at a Mariners or Sounders game, the city’s Lumen Field Event Center will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, no appointment needed. Find more information on vaccine locations in Seattle or schedule an appointment .
