After a historic postseason, the Seattle Mariners are back for an extra inning, looking to save lives by teaming up with Bloodworks Northwest to host a pop-up blood drive at T-Mobile Park.

The blood drive will be held at Ellis Pavillion on Nov. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PNW severely short on blood donations this summer

The drive comes after shortages earlier this year had Bloodworks officials sounding the alarm. This shortage was further exacerbated by shipments of blood sent to support victims of Hurricane Ian in Florida.

鈥淲e鈥檙e able to send this sizeable shipment only through the support of our dedicated donors. But they can鈥檛 do it alone. We need more people to use this time to make their first donation because lives are on the line,鈥 Bloodworks President and CEO Curt Bailey said.

Donors looking to support the blood bank are asked to register before the event and wear a mask. No one under the age of 16 is permitted to be onsite during the drive.

Free parking will be available at the Mariners parking garage on both days.
