Microsoft to cut 305 jobs in Washington state, Redmond location

Microsoft laid off 305 jobs in Redmond, Washington on Monday, according to a with the Washington State Employment Security Department (WSESD).
The filing labeled the layoffs as permanent, effective Aug. 1.
Microsoft has laid off approximately 2,300 employees in recent weeks, according to WSESD.
Microsoft’s previous layoff history in Redmond
On May 15, Microsoft announced layoffs at its Redmond location, affecting 1,985 positions, scheduled to take effect on July 12.
The report comes on the heels of a that Microsoft will begin laying off roughly 6,000 workers, nearly 3% of its workforce, according to The Associated聽Press.
