Residents who live near downtown Snoqualmie were allowed to return to their homes after Puget Sound Energy capped a gas leak on Sunday evening.

The leak was first reported at Newton Street near Railroad at about 4:30 p.m., and that is when families were told to evacuate.

PSE reported it was a small leak and worked quickly to identify where it came from.

Some streets were blocked due to the gas leak but have since been reopened.

No injuries were reported.

Crews are now working to determine what caused the leak.
