Person killed in mobile home fire in Ocean Shores

One person was killed in Ocean Shores when flames tore through a mobile home on Edgewood Avenue Northeast Sunday evening.

First responders arrived at the scene around 5:03 p.m. and found fire and thick smoke pouring from the south wall of the structure, according to the Ocean Shores Fire Department.

After knocking down the blaze, crews entered the home to search for anyone inside. During the search, one person was found dead. Officials have not released the identity of the victim. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Ocean Shores Fire Department thanked the Ocean Shores Police Department, Grays Harbor Public Utility District, Grays Harbor AVERT, and Grays Harbor Communications for their coordination and assistance during the incident.
