One dead after crash on SR 9 in Snohomish County

One person died in a collision that blocked State Route 9, in Snohomish County, for hours.

Washington State Trooper Mark Francis said there was alternating traffic on SR 9, causing long delays into King County.

Sad news folks. 1 deceased from a 2 veh coll on SR9 just N of SR2. North bound lane is blk. Alternating traffic. Avoid area if possible. TS

The roadway cleared around 9:20 a.m.
