Pierce County fatal crash was murder-suicide

A head-on car crash that killed two people in Pierce County overnight was a murder-suicide, according to authorities.
A 19-year-old driver was speeding when he crossed the center line and plowed into a truck driven by a 50-year-old man.
Both men died at the scene.
Sheriff’s Detective Ed Troyer says when investigators went to notify the teenager’s family, they found a suicide note indicating the 19-year-old planned to drive his car 120 miles per hour into a pole.
