A man with a handgun and a bandana covering most of his face has been holding up convenience stores in the Burien and White Center areas in the last three weeks.
King County Sheriff’s detectives say the guy has hit at least four small stores since January 11th, always carrying a gun.
“He has come into little convenience stores and produced a black handgun, gone straight to the registers and ordered the clerks to empty the registers,” said deputy Charlie Akers.
Although he’s wearing a bandana, witnesses have given detectives decent descriptions of a black man, 35-to-40 years old with a narrow face and a deep voice. He also has a distinctive darker discoloration of the skin below his left eye.
Anybody with information about the hold-ups are asked to contact the King County Sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311.
