Northwest Harvest wants you to know: If you get a robocall from them asking for a donation, hang up.
It’s a scam, being perpetrated by crooks somewhere out of state. Northwest Harvest spokesperson Deborah Squires , “I’m angry, I’m just, frankly, angry, because people here are passionate about our mission and we take it personally.”
Northwest Harvest, which is dedicated to feeding the hungry, never solicits donations using robo-calls. So if you get one, ask for their information.
Before you make donations to anyone who calls you, you’re encouraged to check them out on websites like Charity Navigator or Guidestar.
